Meet Audriana, Newest Future Housewife of New Joyzee

Until she get's a head full of big hair like her mama & sisters, this little Jersey Girl is sporting some crocheted adorableness.

Crocheted ribbon? Sweet! I wonder if Mutha Theresa scored these on ETSY???

Now this last one is not crocheted, but it's certifiably cute, so I couldn't resist.
I love the flamboyancy...it's not something I can pull off personally, but I always appreciate it in those who can...

I guess the cats out of the bag now, huh?
Color me red, I'm a Bravo TV junkie.
There I said it.
I watch staged-reality tv.
I watch all the Housewives shows.
Intently.
Possibly with fervor.
And popcorn.
I don't know why.
I'm not into a lot of TV shows anymore, I'm not normally a trainwreck looky-loo-er, I wouldn't be into Twilight or Edward Cullen even if I was a tween, and yes, I do have more important things to do with my time.
But I can't help it.
It's my guilty pleasure #42.
And now they've gone n' incorporated crochet into it....gah!

Put a Bonnet On It!

A couple weeks ago, Miss Sarah of Sarah's SweetHearts made the cutest bonnet for her little girl and I fell head over heels for it. So she sent it to me as a suprise in the mail!!!
(BTW, it's really called a Maid's Sweet Ruffle Cap)

I'm a sucker for handmade, homemade, sweet goodness!! Make's my heart melt.

I know it's not something a mama in this day and age can run around wearing and get away with, but you can if your stomping grounds are Colonial Williamsburg!

Everyone there wanders about in period clothing & it just makes me feel like I'm living in a Jane Austen book. Yes, yes, I know. Jane Austen stories are set in England, not on American soil. Still, thats just how it makes me feel.

I don't have all the right attire to go traipsing about just yet, but this bonnet totally inspires me to get my historical groove on. I need a petticoat and a big fluffy dress, like the kind the ones worn by Emma,Jane, Elizabeth, or maybe Fanny Price!

Fun, Fuzzy, Fingerless

I heart this fingerless glove pattern so much that I can't stop making it. This is the latest one (it still needs a mate!) that I made last night with some new yarn. New yarn as in new to me, not new to the market! I picked it up at Joann's - it's Sensations Angel Hair Stripes in color 04. Whatever that means! Why can't they just name it something? Numbers assigned to colors is so not good for my dyslexia.

Anyways, here's a peek. Sorry about the crummy pics.

Not Me Strikes Again

Yesterday was my husbands birthday. Yeah, yeah, Happy Birthday to him , blah blah blah. The important part of the story is that I spent hours in the kitchen baking a big huge batch of chocolate cupcakes, with chocolate icing.

I don't want to brag or anything, after all, we are just talking about your average, run of the mill, mind numbing, mood altering, put my heart and soul into it, kind of cupcakes that I couldn't get my mind off of for...oh say, ALL DAY TODAY.

I walked through the front door and made a b-line for the kitchen and the big blue plate. The big blue EMPTY plate.

"Not Me" and "I Don't Know" had eaten every. last. one.

And by "Not Me" I really do mean "NOT ME". This has nothing to do with the Not Me Monday posting thing happening around the blogosphere today. Oh no, no, no, I deeply regret to inform you that this particular "Not Me" was clearly a child of my loins. I suspect the youngest little terd angel is the culprit, but honestly, who can put anything past any of them? Cupcake bandits.

I'm betting the hubs even tackled a few too many as well. Boggles my mind that a guy who is not a lover of chocolate (criminal!) nor a lover of cake (as if!) will eat a plate of chocolate cupcakes with all the tenacity of a 10 year old. He's weird.

Probably they did my thighs a favor. But for now I am feeling sad and victimized. Ok, not really, but can't a girl who lives in a houseful of men be a little dramatic?

GULP - what have I done??

I went and purchased my domain name and now I'm "in transmission" and I can't see my followers on my page.

Yeeikes!!!

Will it come back soon?

How soon is soon?

By morning?

Does anybody know?

Questions, people, I have questions!!!

But you probably can't see me. You probably think I ran off. I didn't though. I'M RIGHT HERE!

Oh wait, you can't hear me either.

My cat is totally freaking out right now because I am hollering at the computer. She probably thinks I have finally gone an lost it for good. Not that she has the right to be so judgemental when she can be tricked into playing with her own tail.

THURSDAY!!!!!!!! With crochet project pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's NOT Monday and it's ALMOST Friday, therefor today gets 2 GOLD stars! And I'm not even going to deduct for the pouring down rain happening outside ~ because that's just the kind of generous mood I am in.

Here's some pics of my curly scarf and the (still unfinished, ahem) slouchy beret - which isn't really called a slouchy beret at all, but that's what it puts me in the mind of so that's what I call it. Hoping to finish it up tonight when I meet up with a couple friends for chit chat & decaf. We shall just have to see if I crochet more than I talk!

It's close to 3 miles long. (haha!)
